I had a good time at Electronic Music Midwest 2008.  I met a lot of people, saw some old friends, and put some names with faces.

Controversial, experimental composer, Karlheinz Stockhausen dies at 79. Stockhausen produced over 360 musical works in his life. His visionary use of electronics, serial techniques, and improvisation have created a large body of unique pieces. Stockhausen’s music has been both praised and loathed, but should not be ignored. He has influenced diverse composers in Hip-Hop, Electronica, and academic circles alike.
